I have really been behind on posting any posts like this one, but I have a start video that I have to share. We cruised 15 NM SE of the Pass at Panama City to Crooked Island and hung out for 4 days. We were alone for the first 2, then joined by some local SR people (one family is new to this site) for the last two. A couple of the days were world record spectacular. Here are some pics. I'll start with the video:

Love the photos. Noticed quite a bit of canvas up on the boat, do you leave that on year around? Specifically the cockpit area and the flybridge?

I love the area, love the boat. Wasnt able to get to the video.

Thank you for posting.

Sorry about the video. I'll have to work on getting that to photobucket. It is a video of the dolphin looking at is from out of the water, breathing, swimming away, coming back, then swimming off into the distance. As far as the canvas goes, we leave it up most of the time. Always up on top. In back, we'll tie some of it up at times, but with the double swim platform, we're either out back or in the cockpit, out of the sun. It's like a mud room for us - a transition from inside to outside.

Great pics! Really makes me want to accelerate the "ditch the PA for FL" plan! Wondering why such a nice place was so empty on a holiday weekend?

44DB has been on my target list for this coming year. Our plan is to move to salt water after this summer, your general area is the top of our list right now.

Sooooooooooo far away - that's what's so great about it. Meanwhile back at the normal spot:

My previous boat was an '05 Blue 340DA. Love the black. You need a 2010, black hull, 44DB Hard Top. That would put you at a consistent 2 years behind us, chronologically. I tried to find one (2008), but, the only one to be had was owned by a Canadian in SW Fl. Once he learned what his boat was worth (from our offer), he took his boat off the market.

I have looked through your trip to the key's on the 340. Awesome trip.

We have spent some time on bare boats in the Key's and up the west coast around Sanibel/captiva. I am so in love with the area. Into the upper gulf coast - we have at least 3 airports we can get into from Texas. Going down later this year to start looking at specific locations.

Great pics, thanks for sharing:)

Looking good John.

Yep, very nice indeed. Here's another shell island pic below. Enjoy the summer, its definitely a special place to boat.

Looks really nice, great pics, tanks or sharing

Nice shots John! Truly a beautiful place.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Did you cook that conch? That sunset photo was top notch. I enjoyed looking at it and you two standing on the bow. What a shot!

No, we let him go! The problem with a photo of us on the bow is that someone else had to take it. Calendar, or not? Calendar with honorable mention?
