4 blade prop replacement

I did. I run faster and use less fuel then my brother in law with the same boat. If you call tommy over at http://www.bosslerandsweezey.com he will know what size pitch and cup. His prices are reasonable too tell him sal. Sent you

Has anyone replaced the standard 3 blade props on a 310DA with 5.7 Horizon MPI inboards with 4 blade props? Id be interested in the results?

IF YOU DO THIS, PLEASE POST THE RESULTS. I would probably do this also if your numbers are good.
Sal do you have a 310 or a 290?

Jaiello, You might get better results moving this to the 310 forum.

My 290DA (dual 5.0L MPIs w/ BravoIII sterndrives) came w/ 22-cupped pitched Mercury 3x3 props. I switched them out w/ Solas 4x3 23p ones and have been very happy. Very smooth, great hole-shot and exc economy. I am moving to a 22p Hill Marine 4x3 to get some more RPM (w/ the 23p I'm in the mid-to-low RPM range, ~4900 with the 5.0s being 4600-5400).

Did you ever switch to Hill marine? What were the results?

This weekend I had a chance to finally test out the new props.

First of all, the Mercruisers sound MUCH happier now... I know that Sea Ray had played around with adjusting the prop pitch between the years on the 290s, but I think that the OEMs are too much prop; I run kinda heavy and my fear was always lugging the engines. With the Hill 4x3s, the boat handles nice and sweet, and the engines are much more responsive. No real change in MPG at my regular cruising RPMs (3000-3500).

Last season i switched over to the four bladed prop as well. I love them. This weekend I ran 19-20kts @ 3500-3600 RPM with full fuel & water +5 passengers.
