390my fuel tank sensor

Has anyone had to deal with changing port side fuel tank sensor on 2003 Searay 390my? May have an issue with my Deisel tank sensor and no room to access . Also does anyone know of a way to determine fuel level in alum tank without ability to stick tank. All info appreciated

I had sensors for both tanks changed out last year. There was a way to access the top of the tanks right at the sensor; the dealer tech was able to get at both without too much effort or tear-out but I think he did have to cut at least one hole in the sub-floor. As I recall, the access to the starboard tank was roughly right at the end of the couch on that side and port was in the same place on the other side. I would ask the tech but they just started their Christmas stand-down for a couple of weeks. I imagine Sea Ray support could provide a drawing showing the location of the accesses.

Still looking for specific information on access to port fuel tank sensor on my 2003 390 my. Determined that sensor is bad and would like to change it out. Hope that someone in group has good info on how access is gained. Pics would be great also. Sent email to Searay buy no response as yet.

Well folks, I finally found the access to my port fuel tank sensor on my 2003 390my. I was able to speak to Brunswick/ Searay customer service who looked up the location. Should anyone need to locate it is a glued in round wooden plate in the floor about 8inches starboard of the two door cabinet aft of salon couch. Locate by pulling back the carpet from toe kick of cabinet. To access the actual sending unit you will need to remove panel, then insulation below floor. It is composed of a hard material covered by foiled foam on the engine side and dense foam on the floor side. I used a razor knife and a dermal tool to cut hard panel. I will take a few pictures should anyone require them.
