380 Pocket Door jammed.....again

One of the sweetest features of my 380 dancer (the master state room pocket door) is giving my problems again. About 2 years ago, Sea Ray replaced the door on the boat because the door had warped, and was very difficult to open and close.

Then, early this season, the door started getting hung up on the track, like there was a screw sticking out somewhere that was causing the wheels on the track to jam when they rolled over it. I had the local dealer come out and "tighten the screw" early this season. Now, the wheels are jamming once again as they roll down the track when sliding the door.

Is this a common problem with the 380? Anyone else experiencing problems with their pocket door on the 380?

Sliding Tracks...

I have had trouble from time to time with pocket doors on boats as well. Are the screws driven upward in the track stripping out and allowing the track to drop and casuing the door to bind?

If that is the case you may need to rebed the screw holes with epoxy. If the door has to be removed that will be a more troublesome chore, but it may have to be done. Another fix could be to match the existing screw length, then drill new holes in the track and drive in several new screws to secure the overhead track.

depends on cause there is few possible fixes.
sometimes rollers itself is being bent from weight of the door and is not sliding smoothly.
sometimes guide on bottom of the door comes of loose and jams in bottom track.
sometimes adjustment nuts getting loose and preventing easy rolling on top track.
those door are fairly heavy and when you hit few waves the mounting screws for hanger may become loose
