Seriously looking for a 370EC Hardtop, alone or attached to a boat. If anyone has info please pass it on to me. I doubt that Sea Ray still sells them as a replacement part, help me out guys I'm on a mission. Thanks

Email me at keberhart@charter.net

The hardtop mold was destroyed when the Merritt Island Plant was closed about 15 years ago…….a friend of mine got the last one that was made. There will be no more from Sea Ray.

Well shoot !!! Guess I'm back to the original plan, buy a 370 EC hardtop . I was trying to do an end around and just add the hardtop . Thanks Guys for the info

What a shame about destroying those molds, wish they would just kept that 370 in production and let it evolve like the Dancers. Definitely bad business move. Oh well .

A bad business move......really?

A boat like the 370ec probably has 50-60 fiberglass molds for hull, deck, dash outer, dash inner, hardtop outer, hardtop inner, cockpit deck, bridge deck, head module, galley counters, etc every mold is 2-3 times the size of the parts being made. Mold finish is critical so they must be carefully stored to avoid blemishes which will transfer to the part being made. Additionally, boat molds only have a 3-4 year useful life. It would take several football fields worth of space to store all of Nerritt Island’s old molds since the factory was closed and no longer exists, where would you have Sea Ray store all those molds?

Actually, the molds for discontinued models are destroyed pretty soon after production stops.

Sorry didnt mean to offend, about the business move statement. Just seems like the interest in the model was there.
