36 sedan bridge e-plex problem

I always have a problem with my E-PLEX screen, I think the problem is related to the heat that emerges on the screen and the black window behind the furniture?? I think a small fan installed behind the screen 12 volts to better ventilated the screen, someone there a problem of heat generated by the screen???
 
I think the problem it is a piece of crap. But, not having to deal with one only hear from people in our marina that have the system, I am not sure of the heat issue. But they have so many different problems, I can't believe SeaRay hasn't just replaced the entire system.

I think you said you are from Canada, my boat is in Kentucky. This has been the hottest summer ever recored. I know we have a lot of guys in Texas and Florida with this boat and I have not heard of this problem. Not saying this is not whats happening but I would look for other problems

They did! for the '09 or '10 model year

FYI - the main touch screen is $7,500, I just had one replaced due to lightning.
 
my boat has been a lightning before I bought, just be that the screen has not been changed? you think that the screen is repairable at the manufacturer ED & T??

Do you know if Sea Ray has applied the latest update for your EPlex clock module?

Early this Spring there was a tech that was traveling around visiting a lot of the DB owners with this system and was updating the system. Both Kevin and I received the updates. I had constant issues with mine prior to this and it's been perfect ever since.

You can contact them at miboats@searay.com, or call their office @ 321-446-8628. Provide your HIN# and they may be able to tell you what you have.

Apparently they also have the ability to connect to your system remotely. they did this when my system was hit by lightning. I read about this capability on another boat manufacturers site but wasn't aware it was installed with our system, too bad we can't remotely log in.

hi guys I have a 2008 searay 36 seden bridge with the e plex system and am having a few dramas every so often the bost will loose all 12 v pover and the main touch screen will blank out tried resetting system but that does not work after a while it will just come pack to life
has any 1 ever had this issue befor
any help would be much appreciated

If a new Display is needed , I do have one for sale if needed. Just give me a shout. Would be willing to let it go reasonably .
 
Can anyone tell me how to restart or reset the E-Plex system?
