340da Fuel Gauge Sender

I have heard the sending unit for the fuel gauges on an '89 340da are on the back of the tanks and accessable under the mid cabin berth.

Does anyone know this for sure? I've got one that will only show 1/4 to empty and I need to change it this week.

Mine are under ther rear cabin bedding then there is a cover that is screwed on to cover the sending units. easy!! 1/2 hr 1989 340
