Does anyone know the exact measurements of a 1984 and 1988 340 Sundancer as measured from the center of the rub rail at the bow to the center of the rub rail at the transom.

I ask because a marina in Florida I am considering requires the vessel to be a minimum of 35 feet, with not much under size allowance, for live aboard. The marina does not count the bow pulpit or swim platform.

Thanks

A marina that only considers LOW, man that's a first

Thanks for the factory brochure!

And to stephens013, I am not sure what you mean by the comment??? I assume LOW is a typo for LOA but what other considerations are normally in place?

BTW, Happy Thanksgiving fellow Mariners!

Length on water vs length over all. I was told that the measuring and how boats were sold changedin the 70s. Obviosly length over all is what a marina usually wants to charge you for. My '97 400DA was 40+LOW but she was 43+ LOA. I've had dock managers charge for the extended swim platform, anchor pulpit and what ever the over hang my dingy was over the swim platform. I get it but thought it a bit nit picky. Just think it strange your dock manager isn't trying to get as much out of you as he can.

You are planning on living aboard a 340DA?
Yes for the winter months. I plan to do 3 weeks per month November - April.
I actually live and boat in Northern Mi.
I was a little surprised at the strict 35’ foot requirement also.

I’m betting the marina charges for LOA, but the minimum length for live aboard they use LOW.
