OK, I have mentioned some of my difficulties in another thread. I thought I would share the finished product. First, here is a list of what I put in:
4x MB Quart Q series QSD 216 component speakers (cockpit)
2x Kicker KM10 subwoofers (cockpit)
4x MB Quart Premium series PCE 216 component speakers (cabin)
1x MB Quart Premium series PWE 252 subwoofer (cabin)
1x MB Quart RAA1000 amp (cockpit subs)
1x MB Quart RAA4200 amp (cockpit speakers)
2x Rockford Fosgate 25 to Life Punch 75 amps (cabin sub and speakers)
Harmon Kardon Drive + Play Ipod interface/ controller (I also have the Clarion one , but it is awful.)
2nd Clarion remote at swim platform
Hisense HDTV tuner for galley TV
Audiovox 27" LCD HDTV/DVD
Now for the pix:
The first is the HDTV/ DVD. I got it at a VERY reasonable price at Costco. I was initially concerned about the weight, so I through-bolted a slim mount for security.
I also added an HDTV tuner to the standard galley TV. This one is nice because it fits in the narrow cabinets.
As far as the Audio, everything after the head unit is replaced. I ran 0-gauge power cables to the cabin sofa and put the 4 amplifiers in a space under the cushion.
I learned from mylast boat that I should just run the biggest power cables that I can and distribute them from the cabin. I ended up with 3 4-gauge runs to the batteries in that boat because I kept adding to it and had not planned accordingly.
I have 2 electronic crossovers in the hidden cabinet in the midberth. The lower crossover has since failed and been replaced with the same model as the upper one.
There is an MB Quart sub under the seat in front of the starboard closet
and MB Quart reference separates in the stock cabin locations. The forward speakers were truly a pain to replaced. Sea Ray didn't do me any favors here. I had to cut MASSIVE holes in the cabinets...
... to get this result
Here are the ceiling speakers.
The cockpit was much easier. I have MB Quart Q series components in the stock locations.
I wish the planned these better for stereo, but it actually sounds pretty good.
Here is the Kicker marine sub enclosure under the rear seat
And here is the sub enclosure that I made to fit under the captain's chair. It looks better in person than it does in this picture. I wish I had photographed it before I put it in, but I got anxious. It has the same sub as the other enclosure, but it is mounted facing up.
I added a Clarion remote to the transom. We probably spend more time on the U shaped lounge than the swim platform, so I made it accessible from either location.
I had added the Clarion Ipod interface, but it is useless. The Harmon Kardon Ipod controller is probably the best mod I have made. It is now in this boat as well as 2 of our cars.
I am still running the stock battery setup. I haven't run out of juice yet, so we'll see if I need to add anything (my children are 1 and 2 years old, so we can never anchor for very long anyways).
I will add some pix that I think are missing later. I hope this helps some of you who are looking for ideas.
