I think it's great that the 340 made the list...well deserved... :smt038 .

However, the article is a little Skewed in that it says that the current 340 evolved from the 1984 340DA. That really isn't correct, in that the 1984 300, in all reality, is the predecessor of today's 340. It went from the 1984-1989 300 to the 1990-1992 310 to the 1993-1994 330 (actually identical boat to the 90-92) then the 95-99 330, then the 99-02? 340 then the 03?-07 340...

The original 1984 340DA was actually the predecessor of the 90-92 350 which evolved (370/380/390) to the current day 40 DA....IMHO that is... :grin:

Even back in the late 80's It was, and still is a awesome boat.
My son has had two of them. 1988 and a 1989. Sure are easy to sell.

I concluded this about the 340 before I bought mine. I got a lot of my info right here. I still think it's the biggest boat for the money, and a lot more boat than most out there.
