340 Fuel pump paint problem?

I was talking to a Searay owner last night and he mentioned to me about a Fuel pump problem that Searay is aware of? He has the 8.1 Engines. Something about paint falling off clogging the pump? Can someone shed some light on this?

Some of the cool fuel gen 3 modules came painted on the inside. Paint flaked off and clogged everything. Do a search here for cool fuel module and you can see the issue. I am not sure of which years, etc.

This was a Mercruiser issue and not a Sea Ray issue. Sea Ray does not make engines.

OK. I never said it was a SeaRay issue though, just a SeaRay owner and SeaRay was aware/Knew about the problem. Thanks for clarification though.
