I took a brief ride in a 1995 330DA equipped with 7.4L Bravo 3 drives. The seller suggested that "easing" into the power prevents the props from cavatation. There was a bit of cavatation when getting on plane from one of the props. While cruising, I applied full trim tabs to see how low the RPM could get before coming off plane. Again, I detected prop cavatation at that lower RPM just before coming off plane. Is this kind of event typical for the duo prop drive?

I can't comment on a Bravo 3 ,however every sterndrive 330 /340 I've been on does not like a lot of trim.Keeping the drive level with the boat bottom will yield the best performance. A close inspection of the props may also reveal the issue. Some here have gone the route of adding a 4 blade set up for their bravo 3s.
