My 2007 320 has 6.2 MPI, 320 hp, 2:1 transmissions and 18/19 stbd prop, 18/18.5 port prop (3 blades) from searay. Current max rpm is 4650 at 28 knots. I usually cruise at 3800 or 3900 at 20/21 knots. I wish to cruise at 25knots and I am considering repropping (maybe to 4 blades) in an attempt to improve cruise speed and fuel consumption. Has anyone gone down this road or any advice is appreciated.

I have read that post before but it does not address my question. The performance of my boat is in line with what is diiscussed on that post 3800/21 knots - the boat is working fine. The question relates to the possibility of improving cruising performance by changing the propellers perhaps to 4 blades. I had a discussion with a prop shop and they suggested 18/18 4blades. Has anyone gone this route and noted improvements.

Those numbers look potentially better than mine. I do have a pair of 18/18 DQX's from my prvious boat. I will give them a try in a few weeks and post the results.
