Thinking about tackling my risers / manifolds and Trent coolers with my buddy who has been a mechanic for many years... (diesel, train, and car mechanic) yes I know not a boat... not looking for negative feedback but rather helpful feedback on how long you think it should rake to do this on two 6.2s....and any advice ....

Thank you in advanced for any positive feedback.

With a second set of hands, you can easily accomplish this. Pick whichever outboard facing manifold has the easiest access first.
it will allow you to see what has to be done for the other 3.

It will be tight removing the 1st inboard facing manifold.
Once that one is removed,
I would suggest you remove the opposing engine’s inboard facing manifold next. At least that way you have some extra room for one of the inboard facing replacements.

your first time doing it... Your prob going to break a spark plug or 2.. Its fine,,, I just would invest in new plugs.. And before you take them Apart make sure you take the hose off the bottom and drain them complete first... And while they are off inspect all your hose clamps because you can see around the engines easy.. If any are rusted or broken change them out with new Stainless hose clamps..

Also, have heard to get some threaded rod to put in a couple of the bolt holes, helps hold the manifold in place while you start the other bolts. Never done this job myself, I have always boated in freshwater, never changed a manifold or riser ever. But, if I were in salt water, I would not hesitate to tackle this job myself.

If you have closed cooling you don't need to touch the manifolds just the risers. If not i can't give any advise on replacing the manifolds but I did my 320 solo which had 2 5.7's over the course of 2 weekends. Risers are pretty straight forward but as stated above you need to drain the AF. You will also need to torque down the bolts when you reassemble so make sure you have a good torque wrench. Other than that there are no surprises.
