320 Bypassing Hot Water Heater

Man, I really hate to do this but Kearney is always getting bashed and in many cases, it appears its out of "Gary envy" So here I am just pointing out what seems obvious.

Kearney's reply, note use of pipe nipple

Like Kearney, I'm sure I'll be hated forever now for posting this. Oh well, take a ticket, stand in line. The deisel guys already hated us members of the gas crowd anyways  SB

Who the hell knows what motivates these people. It certainly doesn't seem to be trying to help people. They're just so full of themselves they can't seem to get around their bloated egos. Oh well, someone has to be that much of a jerk, I'm just glad it's not everyone. Envying Gary? Ugh, that's truly pathetic.

I, for one, have had enough of you guys peeing on each other's feet. This site is "Club SEA RAY" and here is the administrator's very first statement on the opening page of the forum:

Welcome to CSR, a website for Sea Ray owners to enthusiastically discuss all aspects of Sea Ray ownership.

It doesn't appear to be a hard concept to grasp. Do us all a favor and take the Gas vs. Diesel, big boat vs. little boat and non-Sea Ray owners generated arguments to some general boating forum somewhere, anywhere but here.

Actually I did install the Camco bypass kit on my 320 with some modifications. Basically I removed the nipple from the water heater on the cold water side and installed the bypass where it is the opposite of the way it is intended to be used. But it turned out fine. On the hot water side I installed a female/female fitting to allow me to hookup the other side. Total cost $20. Removing the nipple on the one side does give you enough clearance whereas the other fitting has plenty of clearance.
