Hope this helps, those springs are a bit strong but try switching pulling from one side then other and pull down evenly

I have a leak during hard rain... the only indication of the leak is that my v-berth mattress gets wet along the starboard side. No other water anywhere else. My first suspicion would either be the starboard sky light or a bow rail stanchion.

I had a leak on the port side sky light glass but it was obvious coming from there.

    Anyone had this issue?

I had the same issue, same location. Mine turned out to be both the starboard nav light and adjacent bow rail stanchion. In rain, water enters, runs down hull to mattress and fabric bolster. In order to fix, I dropped the interior cabinet to reach backing nuts of the stanchion. I also verified with a water hose after adding re-bedding the light and stanchion.

Thanks Stephenm! Is it easy to remove the cabinet?

It's not incredibly difficult but it helps to have a second set of hands to hold the cabinet assembly while removing. There are long wood screws inside each cabinet end that attach laterally to the large cabinet at the berth end as well as some that attach to the forward speaker cabinet. The vinyl-covered fascia above the cabinet is not attached to the cabin headliner--only to the cabinet itself. IIRC, once you drop the cabinet a bit, you can get by with removing the fascia to access the area you need.

I will caution you that the long stainless-steel wood screws used to attach the cabinetry have very soft heads and strip/wring-off very easily. I replaced several of mine as I reinstalled simply because the impact driver wasn't kind to the originals.

    Hope this helps/

I have the same problem. I knew I had to reseal the starboard skylight, so I took both out, clean and sealed. However, still have the same problem when either heavy rain, or heavy seas. The strange thing is that sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Might be direction of wind while raining. Extremely frustrating.

Frustrating indeed. I looked at removing the cabinet as Stephen explained, but I don't see the screws that he is referring to. So I resealed my starboard skylight in hopes that it's the problem, but as you say it doesn't happen in every rain shower so I'm still not sure.

I'm getting water in the shower sump compartment... not from the shower sump as it pumps out overboard just fine. It eventually gets enough to turn on the high water pump and audible alarm. How does water get in this compartment?

I occasionally see unexplained water in the mid-bilge as well. I initially thought it due to a leak from the shower surround that slowly made it's way to the mid-bilge compartment (my sump works as it should and has no leak so the water was getting into that area via some other route). Unfortunately, I can't correlate it to the shower as I've not seen the unexplained water after several shower uses over the past few outings.

I'm now considering whether the A/C condensate tray in the forward (under berth) bilge is sloshing around while on plane/etc and making it's way back through the limber holes to the mid-bilge. I don't yet put much confidence in this hypothesis but it one of the few other sources of water with a route to the mid-bilge...

hello all, im going to be replacing 2 batteries (1 bank) in the spring as well as the charger, going to go with a promariner 1240p or 1250p. my questions are: this charger is 40 or 50 amps do i have to upgrade the wiring between the shore power and charger?
also do i upgrade the main breaker in shore power cabinet?
can a 30amp shore power cord accept this current? thanks looking for members that have replaced theirs with this model thanks

When you put a 50A charger in with the existing wiring and breaker, you could trip the breaker under certain conditions... If you run a hot (1200 watts or better) stereo and and try to charge the batteries at the same time, the 30 A breaker could trip. I've seen this first hand on my friends boat (2010 330 DA). I installed a 50A breaker on his boat but did not change the wiring. Ideally one should change the wiring but the length is so short to the charger that we didn't feel it was absolutely necessary. He can now crank up his hot stereo while on charge, no problem.

Just to clarify (after I re-read your question)... we changed the 30A breaker (under the helm seat) that feeds the batteries, not the shore power breaker. The shore power breaker at 30A will be fine because that's at 120V.

Oh that def. helps because I was thinking the breaker in electric panel in cabin, so replace the one under helm seat. Ok thanks
