310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

If I remember correctly, I removed the metallic reflector (I recall it was retained only by the previous bulb) as the new LED elements I used were disc-shaped circuit boards where all light is directed downward already (unlike a standard bulb).

Thanks I will prob have to go that route.

Want to replace all my sacrificial anodes w new magnesium anodes on my 2007 310 Sundancer. Anyone here know what they ordered with same/similar boat ? Transom plate, trim tabs, etc

Thanks

I found them Tw-ge89-ww from marine beam it's a replacement for a ge89 bulb
Now to my next replacement - the bulbs in frosted over the mid couch, any LED replacement I have tried is either short on pin length or too wide for silver reflector. Anyone replace these?

One of my bulbs went out on these style lights, do you know how to get to the bulb?

a 24" HD wide screen from best buy, - better picture, bigger picture, runs on (12v after i altered), and is digital so it works with antenna

What did you have to do to alter it to run on 12v? We've bought an '07 310 with the original televisions and the rest of the family is already insisting on television for overnight stays, and for that I need digital tuning. I cannot believe that a TV will be a boat's first new accessory, but...

From what I've seen, DC-specific televisions are way too expensive relative to the standard Best Buy type home sets but as far as I can tell, most of them are AC only in terms of external power connections. They're all DC internally like any other high-tech electronics, but tapping into the PSU may or not be that trivial depending on the model.

The compromise solution without modifying the TV directly would possibly be to a use a small car-type inverter. From what I've seen most small (<32") sets only draw about 40 watts of power, so the added overhead of a few watts from a small inverter wouldn't seem to be too big of a deal.

I cheap alternative is to install digital convertors if the TV's otherwise work. There is a how-to thread from several years ago by a former member Presentation.

Cheaper than a wholesale TV replacement, but in most cases I've seen you're still left dealing with the power requirement. Most of the boxes I've seen have direct line AC power.

A generic 28" or 32" LCD TV is pretty cheap, and the car-type inverters are small and if you were neat about it could probably be mounted on the back of the TV to make it DC powered or easily moved to AC power if you were on shore power.

I usually curse non-battery devices that have a DC power brick, but this is one time I wish something normally came with a brick instead of an AC line line cord.

Can Anyone with a Koehler genset tell me if they have a grate on the bottom of the thruhull. If yes is it cupped like the ac one. I don't have one and want to add one, I sucked up some seaweed on the hook last summer and had a terrible night with no ac. I Am worried that the cupped one may force water somewhere it is not supposed to go. I called the Koehler tech line and was transferred several times with no answer. Thanks

Does anyone know what the top dimensions of the radar arch are? Or better yet, a dimensioned diagram?

12' 5 1/2" from keel to top of the radar arch (excludes any arch mounted equipment). The dimensions are in your owners manual.

I probably wasn't clear, the dimensions I'm thinking of are the rectangular dimensions (though I know it's curved, not a rectangle...) of the top of the arch surface as viewed from above.

I think this differs by model year as well...2007 is different that post-2007 310 arches?

BTW, I had that happen, took the hose off on the incoming side of the strainer and blow it out. Literally my mouth pressure and all was good.

Mancave, I tried that, I even used a hose from the water dock and dove under and put a long screw driver through and nothing worked. When we got back to our slip the next afternoon it was all gone. So I guess getting on plane cleaned it out.

Has anyone replaced the carpet in our 310/330 with a wood type floor? How did you finish the step down to aft cabin area?

You might already know this, but the OEM wood flooring uses carpet at the small step down to the aft cabin. It certainly could have been fitted with a wood bullnose but the curved wood riser required surely made carpet the cheaper choice for SR.
