I am looking into purchasing a used 2000/2003 Sea Ray 310 and looking for tips for what to look for in my initial visit at the marina. Boats are out of the water at the moment. I now own a WE 245 so I can am somewhat knowledgeable of Sea Rays but the 310 is a inboard, which I like so any review is appreciated. Thanks

I had a 1988 230 We. Last season bought a 2000 310 Da. with in boards I love it . In my search I did find the early models had the bow rails attached with bolts from inside .They tend to work loose in time and are quite expensive to reseal and tighten because you can't get to them from inside the cabin. This leads to leaks. My 2000 bow rails are screwed from the top. This is one thing to look for.

2002 was the last year for the 310 it was replaced by the 320 in 2003.
Its a great boat
I'm going on my 4th season with mine and love it.
I like the cherry cabinet interior compared to the white.

I see you're on the LI Sound.
I would look for one with fresh water cooled motors (Horizon Motors)
Sea Rays of this vintage were prone to deck rot by the hatches and windlass.
A Survey is a must theres a lot of junk out there.
