300DB Thread

Here are some pics of the enclosures. One nice thing also that I did was move the rear bench seat on the bridge ahead about 6"(see the prev. pics) made a big differance. Any other questions you can email me at southside@eastlink.ca. Don

Hey DB Crew , im a new member and if i can get some wiring schematics for my 1989 300 db i would greatly appreciate it ..Thankyou

Hi everyone hope this thread keeps going just got a 1988 300 sundancer hoping to learn more from you people

Hello 300DB Owners!
I too am an owner of a 300DB. I purchased mine last August and have been meaning to post here since then but this old girl has been keeping me extremely busy!!!
Boat is a 1985 and is the “blue stripe” version (stripes have been removed). Boat has no gen-set, vacuum, AC or heat. Someone added a marcerator and full canvas enclosure with additional privacy canvas. Still has the monkey fur carpet. I don’t think the interior is original.
I too would love a wiring diagram (and any other information) if anyone still has one.
I read this thread thoroughly before buying it, thanks to all for the great information!!

I found it!
I was wondering if we had a thread somewhere on here. Maybe if I bump it to the top we will get the rest of the 300DB guys to jump in and say hi.

BTW, I'm having the canvas finished so all the fly bridge and aft deck are covered and tied together so here are the before pics :smt001
Beautiful boat. I have the same one here in NY. Not in as nice of shape as yours but not terrible.

Bioluminescent.jpg

Here’s a (pretty bad) picture of my boat in the “red Tide” that we have been experiencing here lately. Pictures and videos don’t do it justice, must see it in person. It’s unbelievable!

FYI – The red tide is a bioluminescent algae bloom that doesn’t happen here very often. Seals, fish, dolphin, people swimming, boat wakes, etc.. all light up this blue color. You can even draw your finger through the wet sand on the beach and this blue color will follow it.

Wow. We were in that area back in November on Shelter Island San Diego. Lots of boats, beautiful area.

Hey all you 300DB owners. I thought I would start this thread, so we can bounce issues off of each other as it relates to our boats.

I am in the middle of restoring mine and I know I will run across things and scratch my head and ask, "Why did they do that?" So hopefully we can help each other out here and share our experience.

We may not be the biggest, but most of us have what all the big boys have.
We lived in Alaska for 13yrs, probably the best times of our lives! Hoping in the next couple of years to get a cabin down on the Kenai or maybe a little closer to Homer.

Hey everyone new here. Great info on this thread that I used prior to just having purchased this 86 300. Need some cosmetic work done on my mine. Does anyone know the dimensions for the port window rings/bezels? Also in need of a couple lengths of bow rail does anyone know the diameter? Thanks for any help!

Welcome Bryant!!
My boat is 15 miles away but I can take some measurements this weekend.
I assume all the through hull windows are the same size as is the bow rail and bridge rail diameter but I will double check.
Post pictures please!!!!

Thanks a lot you can see the damage in these pictures
