I assumed that was how they were. My ‘06 has the same but they will lock if nipped up quite hard.Would anyone know why the Taylor Made Part# 1721 Hatch Riser Arm Locking Knob turns a 1/4 inch left or a 1/4 inch right only? I cannot keep the 20 x 20 hatch open without the wind slamming it back down.
Grateful for your guidance.

There's nothing "Mercury" about those injectors - take one to a good autoparts store or fuel injection service and they can set you up - likely WAY cheaper - better yet, why cant the existing ones be flowed/cleaned?
Do you mean I can getter better fuel injectors at auto parts store (cheaper, too) then the genuine fuel injectors from Mercury? (I'm not a mechanic) I have the 5.0.
Very nice. I like the SR logo and anchor. Why did you change the pattern for the area in front of Captain chair and cockpit table area? Not saying I dislike it, just curious?
Battery Layout
(I read a number of posts about batteries but didn’t find my answer)
2004 DA with the Mercruiser 350s, and a Koehler generator. From looking at the manual, it looks like the boat has 6 batteries, all group 31. They are arranged in 2 x 2 x 2 layout in the engine room.
My questions:
1. Are they in sets of 2, or sets of 3?
2. Are there single batteries to crank the port and starboard motors or is an entire set (of 2 or 3 batteries) used to crank? And which ones are those in the layout?
3. Are there batteries specific to cranking and specific to DC system (lights, fridge, etc.,) or are they all the same?
I’ve read some posts where boats have specific batteries for cranking and then deep cycle ones for running the DC system, but doesn’t seem like that’s the case with my boat; manual recommended just one battery group.
I’m worried about the batterie(s) for the port engine, and may want to replace them. We had a bit of trouble cranking the port engine yesterday, but I may have turned off the battery charger while connected to shore...
That's correct. The starboard pair also starts the generator. A quick and easy way to see the distribution is just to look at your battery switch panel. The left side breaker column is everything the port battery pair powers and the right side starboard column is everything that pair powers.Hey there. That is not a factory configuration that I know of so it's hard to comment. I only know of a 2 port, 2 starboard arrangement. If you search on my posts in this thread there is a complete detailing of what is on each bank (according to the drawings, which my boat corresponded to).
