My new boat was delivered to me early this spring.
On Saturday, I removed the batteries to get acess to the starboard engine raw water line comming from the outdrive to the water pump. (BIII drives) I was in the process of installing "JP" flush kits.
I noticed that all 3 batteries were deep cycle type batteries.

Is this normal for a AJ290?
The boat has 30 amp shore power, charger and a gen set if that makes any difference.
I didn't see any ratings for Cold Cranking Amps or anything like that.
Have I been lucky just because it hasn't been cold yet?
Thanks for any info / advice!

I suppose you've read this, but the main thing with deep cycles is that they will not provide as much in cranking amperage, but they are harmed a lot less from deep cycling.
