GREAT Captain Frank story. You really had to be there but I'll try to convey it.

Captain Ray of one of the boats in attendance, a 400DA with Cat 3116s, was having trouble getting the port engine started on Thursday after he arrived. It would spin and spin but not start. The diesel guys felt it wasn't getting fuel so Robert tried pumping the fuel primer thing ... to no avail. I'm watching this whole thing, in that typical stance - hunched over and staring into the engine room...helpless.

Finally, I said, "should I go get Webster?" The answer was a resounding YES. So I drag him over from the T-head and he squeezes past the open hatch, leans in to the hole and tells Ray to crank the engine. Spins but no start. Then he tells Ray to put the ignition switch in the first position and stop there. Tells him to do it again. Climbs down into the ER, opens up that little lunchbox that sits on the top of every 3116/3126, grabs a pliers or a screwdriver or whatever tool it was (it doesn't matter), tells Ray to crank again.

By now there's a minor crowd around watching this whole thing transpire. As Ray cranks he taps something in the box. Engine doesn't start. Taps another thing, engine doesn't catch. Taps the third and it roars to life. Everyone was mesmerized. Tells him to shut it down. Tells him to put the ignition in the first position on the stbd engine and listen. There's a click. Tells him to do the same with the port engine - no click. Do it again, as Frank taps and there' s a click.

Stuck fuel solenoid. As fast as you're reading this is how fast it happened. Shows Ray where the solenoid is, tells him to get on the phone with NAPA, read them the BOSCH part number and see if they have one in stock. He did, they did, and Ray replaced the solenoid on Saturday. Problem solved.

Where did you get a picture of Frank W?

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Now that's some pictures! Awesome! Was there an autograph line for Frank W and Rusty? That's one line I'd wait in. And it's about time for Mark K to trade up again. 650 FLY maybe? How is Linda doing? I hope she's alright. Anyway, great pictures and thanks for sharing with those, like me, who didn't make it. Brian

Great pics guys. man I look sexy.

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

You and sexy are not two words I would consider using in a sentence...any more than I would say that about me.

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Mike, I have to admitt the picture of you was very flattering... You don't look as good in person... I would use that pic as my facebook pic if I where you...
