I just received my latest Sea Ray Living Magazine and there is an article and a couple of pictures of the new 290 Sundeck. The article says it is now in production although it isn't on Sea Ray's web site.

It looks like the hull is styled along the same lines as the 260 Sundeck. Obviously the interior is very roomy and has some nice features. And there is a rear facing seat on the transom as well. No specs were given in the article so I am not sure what the LOA is or how wide the beam is either or what powerplants are available. :smt017

I guess Sea Ray will just keep us guessing on all that stuff for awhile...........although I am not sure why. :smt021

Yes unfortunately.............but their web site is one of the most important marketing tools they have and it should be updated. I just can't figure it out. :smt017 :smt017

And they still haven't updated the pages for 230 Select either. They have had it on their site for a long time..............but still no prices and still no pictures other than the sketch they show. Go figure.

I agree!! So is www.boattest.com but recently they seem to be avoiding Sea Ray's for some reason. Or maybe it's the other way around :smt017 Either way, that's how I found out about Sea Ray's when doing my research. What a shame. :smt089

Agree

Lots of companies under estimate the transformation from the sales floor to the web. Most dealers are even further off the mark. Entire process needs modernization. Information on 230 still not available. Guess I will stop over at the dealer today.

Boattest is a pay service so they only review what a manufacture pays them too. That might explain why they may appear to be missing the "boat" with some SR's.

I discovered this after contacting them abo9ut a review of the 2000 Sundeck what featured a 1999 model. I ended up in the middle of Boattest and Searay with "thank yous" for catching the error. At that time I asked about Crownline models and that's when Boattest told me who they are.

I was at our dealership this weekend for my 20 hr service.

They were all sold out of 185's and 195's and wanted to know if I would be interested in trading in. I asked about the 2008 220 select and he said its being replaced by the new 230 Select. I am sure everyone else proballly already new this but I was surprised. He did say it will look like the new 210 select. He has no pricing yet either on the 230.

Hey Stilbolts is that your new biger sundeck   :smt043

Finally got a chance to read the Magazine. Boy that is one sweet boat. Sure can't wait to see one in person. Sounds like they've out done themselves again. Wonder if there is a small berth like on the 270?

There is a mini "cabin" on the port side of the Four Winns and a another big enclosed area just ahead of the helm too. I think both the Four Winns 310 and the 290 Sundeck will cater to a small segment of the boating population. They probably are both expensive boats and for similar money you could purchase a small Cruiser as an alternative.
