290 Sundancer questions?

I was wondering if anyone who owns an 07 can tell me if the helm seat is big enough for 2 people? The 06 is only for one, but the 07 looks bigger.

Where does your spouse sit while underway? I am considering a 290, but my wife doesn’t see where she would sit comfortably while under way. She sits in a port seat on our current boat.

Does anyone have the sun lounger option on the 2007?

Welcome to the board Bill. I rode the 290DA when it was first introduced at the Destin Sea Ray show in 05 as the replacement for the 280DA. I had a pretty long write up on the old SRO board that I can not duplicate here since I don't remember half of what I wrote down.

The seating in the new 290DA is not for underway unless you are seated at the helm or bench seat. The little butt catcher and side saddle seats are very uncomfortable underway and I think dangerous. Those were (My opinion) to provide seating while at dock and anchor for entertaining.

There are others here who have the 290DA now and might provide additional info.
