Hello my fellow boaters,
Yesterday while running my boat on the river, I received a warning beep and Fault sensor indicator on my Port engine. I had noticed on a few other previous trips that the oil pressure on this engine had been fluctuating on this engine down to 20 psi. This time it bottom out to zero, so I turned this motor off while I was waiting for a bridge opening. I cranked it back up after a few minutes and it was back to reading normal again. Both engines were running at normal temperature around 160 degrees. I only have about 40 hours of run time, since my last oil and filter change. I do not beleive this to be the issue. The only thing that I can think oil is maybe I have a oil pump that is malfunctioning on my port engine and that eventually it may be on the brink of going out. Has anyone experienced this issue or have any ideas to trouble shoot this problem.
Regards,
CSMady
