New owner. First install on the boat was replacing the ray215. Ive read the forum and many asking about a direct fit. There is none. Had to modify a piece of starboard to make a new trim faceplate then cut out the new opening for a standard horizon gx1700. Hardest thing was trimming the helm opening. Only needed very minor cutting.. used hand tools but then realized a dremel with sanding drum would prob do it better and cleaner. Lot of dust either way so make sure to wear a mask. Sorry about image not being straight. New to posting and dont see how to edit.

I had to do the same with my Garmin. I found the hardest part was finishing the edges of the starboard. I'm still not happy with the look. (it's temporary until I decide to replace all the panels anyway)

Yea i wanted more rounder corner but didnt have an router bits so just used the drum sander on a dremel. Im happy enough with it. A wood matching one for the other dash panels would be nice too. Wet sounds set up next
