Hello SR team

why is it that every resource I try; it seems as though my boat does not even exist?

the closest SR dealer is Skipper Buds and the parts guy there says its comes up as a 280SS;

does anyone have a thread or post they can direct me to so I can learn more about my boat?
I already have the owners manual ;

thanks
Rollie

Welcome to CSR. Post your Hull ID#.

HIN# SERE0114J495; Brunswick told me many of these were made in Cork Ireland but this one was made in Kentucky ; I am looking for a fuel system diagram; that is ultimately what I am after...

thank you

that is direct from the transom

With that HIN, it shows that it was made in Ireland.

What specifically are you looking for in regards to the fuel system? The fuel system is pretty dirt simple... tank, hose, filter, engine.

I am in the process of diagnosing what I believe is a fuel starvation issue; I do not want to just start firing the parts cannon at the issue; my bravo-3 7.4L carb engine is surging and I cannot get to WOT any longer; going to look at fuel filter this Sat and see if any water in the fuel; if I dont see any water present; then I am going to try and run on a separate tank of fuel and try to isolate too see maybe if the issue lies from tank up to water/fuel separator or filter; I like to have diagrams of systems I attemp to repair.

I think you'll be fine without any diagram. It really wouldn't show much, if anything. Sounds like you're on the right track.

Dump the filter into a clear jar (spaghetti works well). BUT... try running with your fuel cap off, first. If it works well doing that, then you have a clog in the vent system (take a look at the vent on the side of the boat) - or it could be a restriction/low spot in the vent line.

Plumbing a portable tank is also what I would recommend before going too far - as you probably know, it will at least narrow things down to the carb/engine or fuel supply side.

thank you very much; I really appreciate it...I will post what I learned after this sat; it is also interesting to note; my fuel pump is driven by a cam off the sea pump; I just saw a video on how this cam requires oil maintenance "once a year" and most folks do not know this...the previous two owners of this boat both complained how hard she is to start when cold; (compression test was performed before I purchased the boat this winter and all cylenders were within specs-699hrs on engine) I have a hard time starting this engine when she is sitting for more than two days...webber carb was rebuilt once already; all new plugs/wires/cap/rotor..I wonder if that cam is wearing out?; my long receipt history only documents impeller changes thus the sea pump could be original and the cam could be wearing out causing under performing fuel pump...I cant get ahead of myself...Ill start small...engine runs happy all the time at 170 deg so I know the pump is working well...sorry for rambling...just thinking aloud...:)
