During a routine inspection I noticed the exhaust hose from the Gen to the silent exhaust kit leaking. I just changed it yesterday and came across a very interesting discovery.
I notice that the hose which has three straps on it during its run, that two of them are mounted to the fire wall that backs up to the mid-cabin berth. Not that my Kolher 5Kw Gen was noisy before, but by moving those two straps from the back wall to the board the Gen is sitting on, it has made the Gen SOOOO quiet I had to open the hatch to hear if it was running. I swear its such a big improvment that I almost want to call Searay and tell them...
Im also going to hijack my own thread...
Is 200 hours too short to have issues with this pipe??? It had major bubbles inside and was sputtering when I noticed it needing repairs. I suspect it may have been run dry for a bit that weakened it...
