I have a 2000 270DA with the twins. Last year, I replaced all trim senders and limit switches, and everything was working great. I just splashed this year, and neither of my trim gauges will do anything. I double cheched the senders, and they look great. I then replaced the gauges because it seemed logical, and they were looking a little foggy anyway. They still do not work. I think it is a bit of a coincidence that they just quit on my at the same time. I thought before I started tearing things apart to chase wires I might ask if anyone had the same problem before, and if there was a certain spot that is prone to fail due to chaffing, burning, etc...

I really appreciate any help!:smt100

...after lots of frustration; I figured it out. Wires are rotted where they go through the transom. Duh!

Had the same problem with mine. That is THE spot they like to die and what a pain in the butt too when replacing. For mine, I created a custom made plug from silicone, ran new wires through and sealed it off with my new plug around the wires. Then was able to reuse the perfectly good trim switches. Not sure if that is an option for you but it might be.

Glad ou were able to find the problem.
