Has anyone had experience accessing a Lowrance global map 2000 flush mount. Its dead and needs replacing, but how do you access the fasteners to remove it without removing a ton of wiring. Any help or experience is appreciated.

I did a quick search and found the owner's manual here:

http://www.lowrance.com/en/Products/Legacy-Products/GlobalMap-2000/Downloads/

It looks like it is held in place by cam clamps - look on pages 3&4. On the 270 you should be able to get to the back side by removing the dash panels.

By the way - where was it mounted - have any pics? It looks like it is pretty close in size to the 7200c I just installed in mine.

Thanks for the response, attached is a pic, you can see it mounted to the right of the wheel. When I open up the dash panel below, I cant access it because of all the wiring from breaker panel. You are right, it is 2 cam locks, but cant get to them at all. I was hoping someone had a quick way to to it.

My breaker panel comes out and has a little slack in the wires - not sure it's enough to get to the cam locks. Mine has twins so I have another gauge panel where your GPS is mounted. With both the switch panel and the gauge panel out I can get to everything.
