I need to get this boat shipped in the next two weeks, I have been getting quotes in the $2500-$3500 range, but cost is not my main concern, it is more that I get a reliable and competent shipper.

I would appreciate any tips or recommendations.

have you tried uShip.com? You describe your item, travel time, and locations and shipping agents will bid to get your business. You can check their feedback and items they have already moved for others via the site. Many of these guys are professional movers but don't have enough business through the normal channels. I moved a park model trailer from Illinois to Kentucky and everything went well. Give it a look you can always accept bids and turn them down.
