I will be taking delivery of a "new" 2007 270 this weekend. If anyone has one: Where did you put the name on the transom? Which side of the center walk through? Thanks.

It will probably depend on if you use 1 word or multiple words to make up your boat name.

If two words, one word on each side, slightly curved and going up and around to the other side would look nice if done in big enough letters.

The 220 bowrider/selects were very difficult to letter, as the only real place to do it was on the face of the swim platform. From looking at the SR site's pics, it looks like you have a few options (and thats if you want to stay around the stern).

I have a 270 SLX and the admiral decided it shall remain nameless. But, if I were licensed to put a moniker on the boat, I'd put it on the back. It would have to be a short name.

If yours is a long name, try translating it to Yiddish or Swahili or something that might be shorter. Then, people will say "What does that mean?" and you can have fun because every time somebody asks, you can say something different. They'll never know. Plus, you'll never get tired of your boat name 'cause it can be something different every time you try to explain it.
