Need some help on what's causing my fueling issues. It's taking forever to put gas in my tank because the nozzle "clicks" out every 10 seconds as it should do when the tank is full. I've tried raising the nozzle to the top of the gas inlet and anything else I thought would work. Boats just not taking gas fast enough. Suggestions?

Make sure your vent is clear and no kinks in the vent line or your filler hose.

You might have a carbon filter canister in your fuel tank vent line, it's for catching fuel vapors. I've seen those fill up enough with liquid to impair the venting. The liquid is usually more water than anything else.

Blow the vent line out with a compressor, sometimes if there is a low section of hose it can trap gas.

My old 98 firebird does the same thing when filling at certain stations. It's like it's just not compatible with contemporary gas pump nozzles. It's a pain in the butt to do but I find just holding the lever halfway while fueling usually helps. With a boat though you will be doing that for quite a while!
