I have a 2007 270 SLX and want to know if anyone has ever added the sport tower. I had a 2005 220 Select with a tower and am finding it a bit difficult for the kids to knee board and such due to the rope always being in the water. I didn't like the look of the tower in the pictures that I had seen when I was making my purchase decision. I liked the clean look of the boat without the sport tower. But now having seen some in the water I am asking myself what was I thinking. They look better in person than on paper. Has anyone added a tower. If so what is the cost and the pros and con after adding the tower.

I wanted to add the tower for the same reason. My dry storage reconfigured some bunks after we bought to accomodate boats with towers. Asked the dealer for a quote and was surprised the $5,000 option turned out to be a $9,700 upgrade:wow:. Sea Ray charges $5,700 for the white fiberglass tower alone. Labor was only about $1,000 of the quote.
