Has anyone used the wall above the aft cabin doorway to install a flat screen TV? Or anything else "interesting"?

Any pics of what you've done with this space....if anything?

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat with this one. I'll be doing the same thing this winter.....

I haven't even really looked yet to see if it's possible....and then....I don't really know if I've got the nerve to do it but....

I was wondering if it's possible to cut a hole in that wall large enough to house a flat screen......so that the screen is mounted tight against the wall with the guts of the TV back in the aft cabin. And then of course also have a DVD player tucked away in the aft cabin as well.

Gonna have to take a close look

I am no where near done with my 270 but they are much the same lay out. I was able to take out the companionway walls and open up the rear berth so that it could be seen by all at any area of the boat but the lower berth, it needs it's own some day. Good for kids games. This works well for us and we have fun. It has the built in DVD/MP3 YAddds Yaddda,,,, Still need to hide the wires,,,,,, some Year :)

I do remember seeing a picture of a flat panel mounted in that area on an eighties Sundancer. I don't remember the size of the boat, or who posted it. But I do remember it because I thought it was a good idea.

Here's what I came up with: I mounted my 19" LCD/DVD combo on the small divider between the forward berth and galley dinette wall with a adjustable mount so that I can view it from both direction. It's very solid and very close to the factory power outlet, so no need to install additional wiring!
