Good luck! I know leaks can be a pain, sometimes.
Hello everyone! This forum has been a huge help the past few years in helping me handle all the little issues i have had with this boat. It has been a joy. This one has been by far the most fun to work with. It has so many features that you would not think could be on a trailerable boat that have maid it possible to spend a week on at a time for my family of four at multiple lakes.
My fresh water tank is located under the forward berth as well. I like the fact that it is located up front. It seems to help the launch a little when the tank is full. The bow seems to drop a little quicker, especially when i have group in the back.
By the way, does anyone know what the straps in the transom locker are called or where they can be bought? Mine are missing and it would be nice for hanging lines or the power cord.
Here's a start https://www.westmarine.com/buy/tayl...ge-rail-mount-1-pack-only--403669?recordNum=3
i looked at each on the head side.. i suspect your referencing the inner black molding piece? water slips between window and leaks down? they dont appear too dry?
If the water drips in between the glass and where it seals, that will simply drip into the head. The trim ring ring is actually two pieces - if you look closely you will see a thin ring of sealant between the two. There is also sealant around the outer perimeter. If either of those are compromised, they can cause a leak between the head wall and the hull.
I'm not sure what they're called but I know what you're talking about...not sure if these would work from West Marine?
Thanks I will see if I can make those work. Mine were missing when i got the boat and i don't like it all laying in the bottom in a mess.

I could not find them on the net but a sea ray dealer could track a set down for you.
Has anyone found a source for a replacement (or an upgrade) shower curtain for our 260's? I have a 2005 and my curtain tore. I'd like to make it right again.
what have you done lately?
my continuing efforts on temp control, installed a 140 thermostat.. replaced gasket on valve cover for genny and replaced the genny anode...
What kind of problem are you having? Is the genny running hot? I don't believe the thermostat change will affect this. I checked back a few pages but did not see any discussion on the genny on your 260...
i changed the thermo on the engine not genny.. my 06 6.2 raw cooled is getting old and had some overheating issues, think i have them solved and trying the lower temp thermo, have read can help scaling in our warm gulf waters... will see.. heres my overheating thread.. http://clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/260da-6-2-overheating.85794/
I went to check on mine. Smelled gas, found fuel leaking around the regulator on the fuel module. I removed the regulator and you guessed it, paint failure in the cool fuel module. Its not even spring yet and the boat bucks are starting to flow. LOL I did call Mercruiser and it sounds like the are going to do the right thing and help with repairs. Just have to drag it to the marina in the spring.
Good Day Fellow Boaters,

Did it come with helm carpeting?
That would be the only thing I would want to purchase/upgrade.
No Unfortunately it does not have the carpet but i did find it for $299
I have had my 04 260 DA for about a week now and its still cold here in NJ so winter projects are underway. . . has anyone done anything of the following. . .
Install a double sided mirror with led and TV inside
Full LED Swap
Upgraded sound system 1 sub and 6 speakers and amps
Change color of the cushions on the interior
all this should be done by April so ill post some before and after pictures of what i have done and what i have used.
First post here but I’ve been following this Forum for just over a year. Lots of great info and most questions have been answered. I purchased an 06 260DA November 2016 and had a great first season with it last summer.
I recently purchased a cockpit cover to go along with the existing Camper Top.
I am looking for an idea on the dimensions for the placement of the Snaps from the Arch forward around the base of the windshield. Here is a pic of what I am looking for.
To answer your question... you're making this harder than it has to be. Install the snaps into the cover where you have existing snaps from the camper canvas. Then, stretch the cover forward nice and snug (you can use tape to help hold it in position) and install the snaps where you need to. Done. No measurements needed - they'll only make this job harder and take longer.
That’s exactly what I was going to do. I was hoping someone would post a picture of their Cockpit cover installed so I could get a better idea of how it should fit. I don’t want to install more snaps than are necessary, so the spacing is important.
Thanks for the reply.
