Hello all...does anyone know the height of a 2005 260 Sundancer from bottom of the keel to top of the cockpit window (I have no arch). Trying to get this height so I can plan my trailer and storage.

Many thanks ..JB

That's a darn good question. The manual has Keel to Arch height at 10' 10", but there is no mention of height w/o the arch. Maybe use a carpenter's level and a plumb line to measure the arch height above the windscreen and subtract from above?

Does anyone know the fitting size of the 2005 260 Sundancer pump out fitting on the deck for the toilet waste ? Thanks

Hello all! I grew up around the water with a skit boat and houseboat rentalsbut to date have only owned a couple Sea Doos. I am looking to buy my own boat. I am by no means an expert but can usually figure things out with a little guidance. I plan to have a 2017 Sundancer 260 built for me. I have several questions on various topics. Some may be stupid but oh well. Any and all help is appreciated.

1. I do not have much if any exerience with shore power and inverters etc. If I chose to go without an inverter(no generator either) what featues can be used away from shore power? AC, Fridge,Microwave,Head,TV etc What advantage does an inverter add? Is this difficult to add on my own aftermarket?

2. What does the Sea Ray Digital Dash add other than the raymarine a95?

3. I would consider adding the a95, remote sot, and a vhf/ antenna myself aftermarket as well. I am fairly handy as far as the installation part. My question would be tying the units in to power. Is this a difficut process or more plug and play? Can they be tied in right at the dash or do I have to run to a breaker panel/battery?

4. What if any of the above electronics wouldou recommend having the factory do vs aftermarket?

5. I will keep on the river from about May to Oct. Is bottom paint necessary?

6. Other than looks and ovrhead lighting/mounting is there a purpose to the spoiler. If I plan to trailer once a year or so or trailer for winter storage does the spoiler interfere with trailering? Anyone know apx height of the spoiler? Can you d the cape canvas without the spoiler?

I think that is all for now. I know it is a lot. Thanks again.

I do not have any AC lights, but I think there is only 1 on yours and it is the light over the galley. I believe there are 2-bulbs in yours-one is AC and one is DC.

I believe the 2005 is the same as mine, and this is how mine is set up.

Re: AC Light Switch in Cabin ?

Hello all..I just finished winterzing my 2005 260 Sundancer for the first time as I am the new owner. Unfortunately I fogged the engine like I did my old carb engine model I owned - sprayed fogging oil down the intake. I put the boat away and recently read you should not do this on EFI engines as you may damage the MAP sensor. I also sprayed oil in spark plug holes.

Does anyone think I may have done some damage dong it this way and will it be alright in the spring ? I don't mind replacing the MAP sensor but I'm unsure of what other issues this method may have caused

Thanks for your advice ...JB

Not sure, but very interested what happens when you do start it up. Please post back with the result in the maintenance section when you do.

Re: AC Light Switch in Cabin ?

it is the double switch to the left of door. one is ac and one dc. the double light over galley.

Re: AC Light Switch in Cabin ?

Last year was my first time putting her to bed for the Winter and I had an experienced boat guy show me how. We fogged the carburetor just like I'd done on my '98 4.3L for years.

She started right up last Spring and ran beautifully this year. I used the same procedure this fall. I always keep my fingers crossed in the Spring but I think you'll be fine.

Good luck to us both!

Anyone no where to get a head sink strainer and drain for a 2003 260 DA?

specifically? no. But Flounder Pounder is my go-to source for all sorts of odd things... It takes some digging but you can find anything from switches and latches to doors, seats and more.

Another place that I have had good success for "hard to find" parts is replacementboatparts.com. They have a lot of plumbing, shower, faucet parts. Ebay is another place.

Re: butane stove replacement

Yes, I replaced my original Kenyon butane stove. Contact Kenyon for help, they supplied a stainless adaptor with the purchase of one of their electric units. Fit perfect and looks great. If you have questions, give me a call 623 935-5260.

I am contemplating installing a grill on the transom bar with rod holder, suggestions? Looking at Magmas but not sure which one, do like the rectangular ones though...
