260 Merc Alpha 1 Rattle, clink

My 268 Sundancer with a 260 Merc Alpha 1 has a rattle in the back of the bilge. It seems to be coming from the shaft area between the engine and outdrive. It is very present at idle and diminishes as RPM's increase or you cant hear it. I believe there is some kind of bearing that is near the hull but I dont see any grease zerts. Any ideas or suggestions what it may be?

Sounds like your exhaust shutters have lost their rubber coating. The shutters sit in top of the "Y" pipe.
