Here I go again
I'd like to know more about my boat engine. Sure I can order the manuals from merc but they are just manuals right not guides or how-to's.
I'm not looking to learn to rebuild it or take it out and put it in, but like the changing of the fluids and other general maint like the impeller. I'd rather pay myself knowing how to do it then pay MM double for them to do it hopefully right and dirty my boat.
So are there video's? I know the local adult school erwin gives a night class on general auto mechanics to people it would be great if there was one for boats. Obviously our boat motors are similar to car's but there are differences.
When I took delivery of the boat the captain did point out most of it but it's a bit of a fog now and he didn't demonstrate how to do any of it.
Even if one of you really nice boaters is local to me, I'll bring you a 6pack if you let me watch/explain or even help do your general maint so I get an idea of what I'm doing.
Sure I could dive into mine and figure it out and problem make out ok but what if I don't make out ok.
The currency convertion from US dollar to "boat dollar" has someone coined is worse then US to UK. I'd rather put my US dollars into the gas tank and have a little more knowledge about my boat.
Thanks to all that reply!
