As many of you know, I boat on the potomac w/ lots of traffic and crud (edit to change crude to crud... then again I have seen some slicks on the water that made it appear there was a lot of crude in the water as well) in the water. I never have been able to safely sit in the helm seat at its normal height and the bolster is just a PITA, literally. I find myself standing at all times when underway.

Has anyone successfully found a way to lift the seat higher?

I asked my dealer about a height adjustment on them and his comment was it is a liability issue with SeaRay. Something about hitting the windshield, etc. I always thought you could use a long pole under them.

If you could find a longer pole that would be the easiest way to do it. Or another possible solution would be to make a spacer to fit under the round seat mount to elevate it. You could make it out of wood or have someone fabricate a metal (aluminum) one for you.
