Can someone point me towards a probable cause for the touch pad on the console od my 240da not working. Its been setting a while and the last time i used it everything worked fine, but now none of the buttons function.

Is the a master fuse somewhere that could have blown. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

T.

It may be an EMI breaker in engine room or under the dash. Also those switch pads do go bad. I had one replaced on my 300da.

What does the EMI breaker look like.

Open the panel under the helm. Look up to the upper right. There are two fuse panels, the ECM and another fuse panel. There is a TEST button on the ECM and will show any blown fuses. They are all marked as to what they are, but the button pods do go bad and unfortunately are not made anymore. Mine went out last year and fortunately I had a spare.

Just looked at the owners manual and don't think you have what I was thinking. Do look at page 30 (Fig 30.2) as this may help with what Nehalennia is saying. It's close to what I though but was a little off.
