I've been looking at the camper top for the 240SD, but not sure if this is what I need. We want an enclose that we can use to go camping in the spring and summer, not really for cold weather riding. Can someone tell me if the camper encloser from SeaRay is made were the windows open for ventilation and if so is there screens to keep bugs out, I think for camping you would also need some type of drop down curtains for privacy. Have not found much info on the SeaRay camper Top but it looks like it's mostly see thru windows that maybe unzip.

Yep the camper top is what you need. It is clear, with screen panels on the outside. You can unzip the inside clear plastic and roll them down. This will give you the ventilation you are looking for. As to the privacy curtains, you will have to make them yourself. I use drop cloths with clips myself. They also work good when rolling the camper top up for storage in the bag since you don't want the plastic panels touching. Personally I roll the Side and aft section up separate from the front sections. That way if I need the front section up in a hurry for rain protection I can get them out without having to take all the sections out. I think I've got pictures on my web site under the boating adventure link. Help that helps.

Thanks Chuck1 Thats what I was trying to find out, Sounds like what we need, I priced it thru SeaRay and it's pretty pricey, I'm going to look at Great Lakes and see if there any better on pricing. Just wanted to be sure what I was getting before making that kinda of purchase.

You will difinitely want to make sure you order the correct thing from Great Lakes Boat Tops. Although they have a "100% satisfaction guartantee" ... it doesn't mean squat! The quality is OK, just, if you have a problem, they will not exchange or replace. Beware.

I intend to post this everytime I can, from now to eternity... or until the wrong cover I have rots.

In case anyone is interested, just got a quote back from Great Lakes at $1473, about $400 less then thru SeaRay, Still seems like a lot.

Wow. Is that the complete thing or is that just the 4 sides that attach to the bimini(s)? And is it just for the cockpit or is it the whole boat?

I would say it is for the 7 panels only. (3 for the Front, 1 for Port side, 1 for Starboard side, 2 for Aft)

I purchased a complete set of canvas from GLBC. I had a camper top all ready and ordered the enclosure. Well it did not fit with my old top. Tried to return the sides for a cover that connects to the bimini and they said sorry. Not exacly 100% satisfaction. Went on to get a complete set from them and it is working out. So if you are planing to reuse any existing canvas make sure you check the vendor and the zipper size.

That price for the camper enclosure seems to have gone way up since the time I checked for my old 240 SunDeck which was probably two years ago. I remember my dealer quoting me something like $1100.

Before buying from GLT, I would get a price from your local canvas shop as well. They may be able to make you one for the same price or even less and then you will be guaranteed it fits right.

Yes it was a little bit of a sticker shock when the dealer told me $1900, And that is just for the sides that attach to the binimi top. That's kinda scary that GLBC would not take back there product if it doesn't fit, that's a lot of money to spend on something if it doesn't work.
That's A good idea DaveS I will check here locally to see what they can do, actually the guy that gave me the quote at the deal made that suggestion also, he couldn't believe the price either.
