220SD ratio

Rough day yesterday ended with thr failure of atleast the upper on my 2003 SD220 5.0MPI with alpha 1. Can anyone confirm the gear ratio I can not read it on my drive. Thoughts on repair options, buy a rebuilt drive vs just doing my upper? Thanks for the help.

Engine serial number is 0M373131. I believe after looking around that I’ve confirmed it is 1.62:1 alpha 1.

What happened to the upper . Just curious why you feel it's in the upper unit. Thanks
