220 sundeck wakeboard tower installation

hi, new to the forum and to sea ray, just bought a beautiful 05 sea ray 220 sundeck. Also bought a factory sea ray wakeboard tower for the sundeck. Does anyone have specific installation instructions and locations to mount it ? i was looking at pictures and was going to wing it based on the pictures if i couldnt get specific plans.

Welcome aboard. Have you checked with the factory and made sure that your boat had the extra backing put in place for the wakeboard tower?

no, didnt know they were set up different,,,would you know how i would get in touch with them ? is there a website i can write to ?

i can probably add some reinforcement myself if i knew the specific locations also.

When I was purchasing my 2006 240 I was told that they had to be reinforced at the factory when they were being built. Email sea ray support with your hin# and they should be able to tell based on the build sheet.

During the '05 model year was when SR started making all Sport boats reinforced for the tower. It's possible that some early '06's squeaked out w/o the reinforcing. Follow Chuck's advice and contact SR to be positive. You can find the contact information on SR's website.
