220 Sundeck Thread - Questions and Answers

Interested to hear how the 220 does on Lake St. Clair on a rough day? I grew up on that lake ( grosse pointe farms) and remember being out there in some pretty rough stuff. Mine is going to be on the Flathead Lake in Montana which is a huge body of water that can get very rough

I was out Tuesday. Waves were around 2ft. The boat handled them fine. MUCH better than my old boat ('06 185). We used to get too beat up to even stay on plane with around 2 fters.
Ill report back after I've had a little more time with her

The 220 SD handles great on St. Clair. Even a rough day is not too bad on this boat!

My anchor light is out on the wake board tower on my sundeck. Anyone know what the replacement bulb is?

Also.. I am thinking about getting rid of the wake board tower. Its too tall to get under my boat lift canopy. Anyone now how complex a procedure it is to get it off and re-route the anchor light to the stern?

LED stern light

The stern light is missing and the socket is broken on my 220. Seeing how I have to replace them. I want to replace them with a LED stern light. Does anyone have a part number for these two items and a good place that I could buy them from.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Jeep Guy - sad picture on your signature :(

My boat is in the same sad state.

Re: LED stern light

If you are handy, you might want to consider mounting your new stern light atop your bimini. On my SD, the stern light is so tall that when underway, it tends to shake itself loose. Having a short light mounted atop the bimini would be much better (and out of the way). Many pontoon boats have this set-up.

We will meet up for a cold one on the lake before you know it!

Hello Everyone. I wanted to thank you all for being active on this thread. Reading the entire thread helped me in my research of buying my first Boat. I am now the proud owner of a 2005 Sundeck 220 with 350 MAG Alpha-1. Man oh man it feels good and looks great. I look forward to the message board picking up as the boating season get here. (I had her out for an hour yesterday as it was 60 degrees down here in South Carolina!! Good times!
