When I purchased my boat, I noticed the clear coat on the steering wheel had a crack in it. I didn't even think to bother Sea Ray about it. Well, after a few years, the clear coat has a big chip out of it (maybe an inch long) and I can see that the steering wheel is actually cracked. To me, this seems like a manufacturing defect. Does anyone have a similar issue?

Yep. My 2005 has the same thing. When it gets wet form rain it will drip a light brownish color water form it and then I have to clean the floor (I pull my carpet every time)

So do you just live with it? I am thinking about touching mine up with clear paint, as it really bothers me. I would post pic's however I can't seem to clear my attachments from my profile.

Yes I live with it for now. I'll probably get a new steering wheel down the road.
