I've heard the saying, buy as big as you can afford. I can afford a 240 but I don't see them for sale very often in the Seattle area. I'm looking to buy a 2010-ish used and there are 3 220s for sale that I can get a good deal on as the season comes to an end.
Will I regret not having a 240 if I get the 220? I've sat and looked at the 220s and it seems big enough although a little cramped in the back area if 4 people are facing each other. It would be mostly my wife and I, sometimes four people but rare we'd need to haul 8. Lots of happy hours (within the rules), water skiing, wakeboarding tubing etc. Wait for a 240 or pull the trigger on a 220? This will be my first boat yet I want this to be my boat for the next ten years. We will keep it on a lift on Lake WA Seattle and use most of the year.
Many thanks
