Hey all....I havent been on here in a long time. I hope everyone is well and is getting ready for another fun boating season.

I splashed my boat 2 weeks ago and so far so good....knock on wood.

The only issue so far is last week I went to fold up the legs to the back bench and I snapped one of the hinges. I now need to replace either just that one or maybe both while I am at it.

Anyone have any idea where I can buy these fold up legs?

Happy to report that the new 14.5 x 17 prop i put on the boat has resulted in a positive performance increase. I don't have hard numbers to share but seem to be running much faster at a lower RPM now. Best cruise seems to be around 3500 rpm depending on load.

220DA is a great boat.. Easy to haul, plenty of room and easy to maneuver. Fuel usage isn't near as bad as it's larger cruiser models. I really have no complaints about ours. I'm redoing everything on ours just to make sure it last us many more years. We had been looking at bigger Sea Rays and after testing 27-34 footers, we made the choice of keeping the 220. We tend to use our 220 during the early spring and fall, during the summer we use our pontoon.

Good September to everyone... Over the last few months my Son & I have completed some changes to my Son's boat. I have uploaded several pics using "photobucket", i hope it works OK... Pics will show the new swim platform installed along with the "P" handles that helps this old body of mine make it out of the water onto the platform LOL.
There is also pics of the old speakers and then the new system installed (JL Audio) with LED rings. Also a pic of the amplifier and wiring in the storage compartment at the steps to the cuddy. I threw in a couple of scenery pics that i could not resist. Hope you enjoy the photos, i know my Son & I have enjoyed making the modifications. Welcome any feedback. Thanks

Hi Chymer, the new swim platform looks good. I noticed in your pics that before you put on the new swim, you have a pedestal mount for a bbq by the ladder. I bought one and was wondering where the best place to mount it was. How did you like the bbq mount by the ladder? I was thinking of putting mine there, or in the middle of the platform. If any other 220da owners have done this, feel free to chime in. Thanks.

Hi everyone from New Zealand. Just got a 1991 220 DA and want to know how the toilet works. Cant see a holding tank or how to empty it. Any help for this kiwi would be appreciated. Love her curves and edges.

Tank should be part of the toilet. Bottom half. Can remove it to empty or if a pump-out hose is attached, pumped out. If you look in the engine compartment you should see the line and shut0ff exiting out the hull.

New seats or refurbished

Does anyone know if it's possible to get new seats for the cockpit?
I'm considering buying new instead of getting them refurished.

I guess that the front seat is the hårdest to replace, since it has hinges that goes into the plint.

No new seats are made for the 220da. Can only replace covers or retro in replacements. Search Google for 220da, then go to images, lots of pics with different seats.

hi MitziGirl, sorry for the delay, been away from the forum for a bit. To best answer you question the BBQ base mount was in that position when we bought the boat. I guess we still prefer the base mount to still be at that location as it does not interfer with people walking around the lower swim platform. Hope that sheds some light on the BBQ location... good hearing from you.... :)

Good May 2015 to everyone. Just a couple of days away from launching the boat for the season. We wanted to check our the plumbing underneath of the shower/washroom. Was hoping for some feedback on the best approach to get at this plumbing, like removable panels etc. thanks everyone..

Welcome to the Forum "ItsAllGood" :) I'm throwing out a question to everyone. We have the 1989 Sea Ray 220DA and are looking for a good supplier of the stainless steel springs used in the Fender Cleats. We are from Ontario Canada.... thanks everyone

I'm new to the forum, relatively new to my 1989 220DA, not new to boats. Having a difficult time trying to decide how to mount a kicker bracket on my boat for salmon trolling. Do I go below the swimstep somehow? Do I mount on top of the swimstep and get a long shaft kicker? What is the best bracket and mounting method to get a kicker on this thing. It appears that it might have to be a custom job by yours truely. Any advice?
