215 Express helm height

Help! As a 5'7" woman in an area with lots of lobster pots, this helm is a poor fit for me. If I am sitting, I can't see the buoys. If I am standing, it's uncomfortable since the seat hits the back of my legs just above the knees. I think this boat was designed for a tall man, with a much longer torso than me. Does anyone know of a way to adapt the seat to a leaning post? I've looked on line and come up empty, so I'm convinced that other more innovative SeaRay owners might have an answer for me. TIA!

I'm assuming you don't have the 'flip up bolster' seats. You'll probably have to look for a bolster to sit on so you are up higher.

I don’t know if this product might help. It’s a pad that attaches over the seat bolster to make it higher. Works great on our 330DA helm seat, adds just enough extra height to allow me see over the windshield.
