OK guys so I am new here. If you know of another thread that might answer this please feel free to mention it. I have looked around a bit prior to posting.

I have a 2000 Sundeck 210.

  1. Roughly three weeks ago I was out and my trim up stopped working in the up direction. (Trim and Trailer). I did some searching and testing and it seemed the Solenoid was bad. I replaced the solenoid and everything was on track and working.
  2. Used the boat a couple times and it worked fine.
  3. Wife took the boat out and could not get the trim to go back down after spending time on the beach. It would not go up or down. I went out to meet them and found the inline fuse by the pump (red wire) was blown. I tried putting a new fuse in but it did not seem to fit however the trim lowered and raised. By the time they got to the dock the trim up was gone again.
  4. two nights ago I changed the solenoid again. Noticed that the fuse that had blown was not fully removed from the holder so that is why the new fuse did not fit. Fixed that. When installing the new solenoid we smelled some smoke but could not find where it was coming from. With the new solenoid in everything seemed to be working fine and we went out.
  5. While at the beach I smelled more smoke opened it all up and could not see any issue; however, ...you guessed it, the trim up , down, and trailer will not work. I did get the trim pump to work by hotwiring it from battery to top of "up" solenoid.

Any help would be appreciated. I do not even know where to start on this! HELP!!

One thing to note here is that whoever designed this thing never figured on a grown man to work on them.
